The MÓTUS Dance Company is excited to announce that it will be hosting the award winning Hofesh Schechter Company at the Venue MK (Walnut Tree) on the 28th May 2022.
Hofesh Shechter OBE’s acclaimed choreography for Political Mother Unplugged brought the company’s development and performance training programme for world-class young dancers, Shechter II, to international notice and the same programme now brings another group of exciting dancers to Milton Keynes with Contemporary Dance 2.0.
With ironic references to pop culture and a playful take on dance, Contemporary Dance 2.0combines Shechter’s signature ensemble work with an eclectic score of throbbing beats, pulsating hip hop, folk and Bach to create club-like euphoria both on stage and in the audience.
The Hofesh Shechter Company is the Resident Company at the Brighton Dome and Hofesh Shechter himself is an associate artist of Sadler’s Wells Theatre and Artist-in-Residence of Gauthier Dance (2021-2023). In 2018, he was awarded an honorary OBE for Services to Dance.
